Senator Hollie Hughes has grilled the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water during the first session of Day 1 of Budget Estimates and the department has admitted that Labor’s radical 82% renewables by 2030 target is not being met and would need to be rapidly accelerated to meet its goals in time.
